HILARIOUS! DHS Secretary Mayorkas Torn To Shreds Over Border Crisis During Senate Hearing

Joe Biden’s administration seems to have given up on fixing anything in this country at this point and instead appears to be focusing on coming up with excuses for all the things they have messed up. Now the hammer is finally coming down and the first on the chopping block is Biden’s very own DHS secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas.

So how did Mayorkas, a supposed expert on border issues, explain away his clear failings to stem illegal immigration? By blaming Trump, of course.

“We inherited a broken and dismantled system that is already under strain,” Mayorkas said in his opening remarks on Wednesday. “It was not built to manage the current levels of migration flow.’

He then claimed that “Only Congress can fix it,” despite his boss’s clearly destructive policies that led us to the current crisis.

Mayorkas even had the nerve to take a second to BRAG…yes brag… about the job he has done so far while in his position, saying, “We have effectively managed an unprecedented number of noncitizens seeking to enter the United States.”

Texas Rep Michael McCaul (R) was having none of this nonsense, especially since his district is one of the border communities most affected by the wave of illegal immigrants entering the country.

McCaul said, “I’ve dealt with the border since 9/11 as a federal prosecutor, but also as a chairman of this very committee. I’ve got to say, I’ve never seen the border more broken. It is not under operational control. It is out of control.”

Republican Representative Clay Higgins of Louisiana, another Congressman with a district heavily impacted by illegal immigration, also had a few choice words for Mayorkas.

Higgins started by blasting the DHS Secretary for his lame excuses, saying, “Anyone that has two brain cells that can perhaps bump into each other would know that it’s an abject failure down there.”

Rep Higgins asked Mayorkas, “So if you would identify our border as effectively managed right now, how would you identify failure? What would it be? Five million crossings in a year? How would you identify failure if it’s not what you’ve delivered thus far? By God, man – own the moment.”

Higgins took it even further, however, claiming that he and his fellow Republicans will force Mayorkas OUT of his current office if they win the House back later this year because of Mayorkas’s massive failings and lies.

Rep Higgins said, “Next year if we have a majority in this committee – which we shall – if you’re in office, you’ll face impeachment. I ask you as a man, own this thing. Out of respect for you and the office, I ask you to reflect upon that.”

It’s amazing to hear Joe Biden’s people trying to spin the border crisis at this point. With millions of new illegal immigrants flooding the border and costs soaring in our country, the patience of the people is wearing thin. Do you think the border will play a big role in the 2022 elections later this year?
