Senator Mitt Romney apparently has been wearing disguises to go on vacation. You cannot even make this stuff up. A new book has revealed that “No Quit Mitt” has been heading down to the beach while trying to avoid Trump supporters.
“Republican Sen. Mitt Romney reportedly likes to go incognito while in Palm Beach, Florida. The Utah conservative has been wearing hats while dining out in the wealthy oceanside enclave, where he has a vacation home, in an effort to disguise himself, a family friend told the authors of the new book ‘This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden, and the Battle for America’s Future.’”
“If he were recognized by Trump supporters there, there was a good chance he would be harassed.”
Honestly, hiding his face from the public may be the best idea Mitt Romney has ever had. Democrats hate him for the R next to his name and Republicans hate him for constantly opposing President Trump at every single turn.
Also, let’s not forget that Mitt has a long history of using disguises. Do you remember the saga of Pierre Delecto? That was Senator Romney’s secret twitter account that he used primarily to fight back against trolls attacking him without looking like he was getting involved.
When internet sleuths figured out that is was actually just the Senator pretending to be a French, pro-Romney never-Trumper, he was asked about it directly by a reporter from the Atlantic, to which he responded, “C’est moi,” or “it’s me.”
Senator Romney continues to be a constant adversary of President Trump as well as many of his own Republican colleagues. Do you think he will ever pay a political price for going against his party or is he safe since he is a prominent and powerful Mormon who represents Utah?
