Univison Anchor Unloads On Biden After His Inflation Speech

A Univision Anchor expressed the frustrations that many Americans feel about President Joe Biden on Tuesday night during the broadcast of “Liney De Fuego” or “Firing Line” in English. He criticized the White House for the record inflation which comes amidst recent statements from the White House that they have it all under control.

Vélez said that Biden during his Tuesday address about inflation use used it to attack Republicans without mentioning any solutions.

“And the last word, President Biden. Please. Stop the blame game and face the inflation problem in this country. People just can’t take it anymore! Your words today just flabbergasted us all, OK?” Vélez started off the statement.

“They weren’t just a washing of the hands in the face of a very difficult price situation, but were also a shameless opportunity to attack Republicans,” he continued. “Solving this, Mr. President, does not correspond to your opponents. It does not correspond to the Federal Reserve, it does not correspond to business. It corresponds to you.”

“You got yourself elected,” Vélez argued. “You should lead, in order to provide solutions and persuade along with those whom you must govern.”

Vélez made a note that inflation had reached a 40-year high and further knocked the President, “t’s time to blame the moon, the stars, the sun. Clearly,” Vélez continued sarcastically. “The worst part of COVID was two years ago, and we were already recovering economically when you arrived. It was the administration’s fault for handing out stimulus packages when people no longer needed them. And it is your fault that to this day we have not set in motion a plant solve the supply chain problem.”

“How much longer, Mr. President?” Vélez inquired. “People don’t eat off of politics. People eat off of wages, jobs, and opportunities. The responsibility to do something falls solely upon you, Mr. President.”

This comes after a statement from Biden’s White House economic advisor Cecilia Rouse claiming that the President had done such a good job at managing the coronavirus pandemic that we are seeing inflation. She gave the statement on CNN’s New Day and talked about their upcoming plans to tackle inflation.

Speaking on it she said, “So I’m not sure where that comes from, so what we saw is coming out of 2021, that we had economic growth of about 5.5%,” Rouse pushed back, claiming that Biden had seen one of the strongest years of growth ever for a first year president — although she failed to mention the fact that, because of pandemic-related shutdowns, he had started behind.”

This statement from the Univision host comes after Next News Network reported that Biden has record low approval rating amongst Hispanic Americans. Read more here.
