It looks like The View host Whoopi Goldberg has shown her true colors when it comes to the issue of abortion. Guess what, she wants it to be pretty much unlimited.

So let’s start at the beginning. The ladies of The View were once again covering the end of Roe v Wade and the failure of the new Democrat led Senate bill to codify abortion rights. That’s when guest co-host and former Trump White House Comms Director Alyssa Farah Griffin suggested that most Americans want restrictions on abortion based on the time of gestation.

Griffin said, “This is an uncomfortable conversation we have to have, at what point does a baby in the womb have rights?”

Goldberg was quick to fire back her own opinion, which set off fireworks, “Listen, it doesn’t matter when you think it is, if I don’t think that that’s when it is—”

“But is it at nine months, is it in the third trimester?” Griffin interrupted the seasoned host.

A frustrated Goldberg retorted, “I don’t have to tell you, it’s your decision. What you do with your body and how your family works and for me, I don’t care what your religious beliefs are.”

Griffin then let her know the issue had nothing to do with religious faith but is one our society has to come together to decide on, “But it’s not even religion, it’s an important philosophical debate. When does the baby in the womb have rights?”

To which Goldberg blatantly responded “But it is!”

It’s clear that to Whoopi Goldberg, the issue of timing and abortions is one that only matters in a religious context. Interestingly, many pro-life advocates who want to end abortion entirely would agree with her that the amount of time after conception is irrelevant.
