Elon Musk has been shifting more and more Republican by the day. Now it looks like the richest man in the entire world is ready to jump in feet first with what appears to be an endorsement of Republicans to take the White House in 2024.
Musk has made his feelings about Biden and his failed administration very clear. His newest tweet makes it look like he is ready to go read with one exception…It CANNOT be Donald Trump.
“Even though I think a less divisive candidate would be better in 2024, I still think Trump should be restored to Twitter,” Musk tweeted out in an apparent reference to his recent decision to restore former President Trump’s Twitter access.
Interestingly, within minutes Musk was back on his Twitter to SLAM Joe Biden for thinking he got elected to make big changes. The tweet reads, “Biden’s mistake is that he thinks he was elected to transform the country, but actually everyone just wanted less drama.”
Last week Elon said during an interview that he found Twitter’s decision to silence Trump to be both “morally wrong” and “stupid” since all it did was add legitimacy to the former President’s claims.
“It alienated a large part of the country, and did not ultimately result in Donald Trump not having a voice. He is now going to be on Truth Social,” said Musk. “So I think this may end up being frankly worse than having a single forum where everyone can debate. I guess the answer is that I would reverse the permanent ban.”
Elon Musk has also gotten support for his decision to reinstate Trump from former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, who has said several times that he agrees with Musk on the morality of the ban. Dorsey was CEO at the time of the ban, however he has implied it was forced on him by pointing to several past tweets and statements.
The Tesla CEO has been suggested his recent siding with Republicans to be less of a personal shift in philosophy and more of a radical shift by the Democrats to the left, posting this tweet just weeks ago.
Do you think Elon is serious about his willingness to support the Republican party? Do you think he would fold in and support Trump if he wins the 2024 nomination or do you think he will hold his position on not backing the former President?
