Bill Gates went on on CNN over the weekend and told Anderson Cooper that people over 50 will need to get regular COVID boosters every 6 month.

“For people over 50 or 60, they’ll probably have to be boosted every 6 months until we get even better vaccines,” Bill Gates said on the spot.

“I’ve been trying to figure this out for myself – I assume you know the answer to this so I’ll just ask you, when do you get boosted again?” Anderson Cooper asked Bill Gates, who is not a doctor.

Bill Gates answered, “It’ll be safe every six months…they might even make that shorter for people over 60 or 70… so we’re in for ongoing vaccination to stay absolutely safe.”

On Friday, Gate’s described conspiracy theories around his involvement with COVID as “tragic” if it stops people from getting vaccinated.

“Simple explanations are kind of fun to click on, and they seem to spread,” he said to Anderson Cooper. “Rather than this complex biology, maybe there’s some bad person behind this.”

“The one about tracking people—I don’t know why they think I’m interested in knowing people’s locations,” he continued. “That one I still have to laugh at. But if it’s holding people back from getting vaccinated, then that’s tragic.”

According to Our World in Data, 221 million people have been vaccinated, which is almost 70% of the U.S. population.

What do you think of Gates’ statement about regular boosters for the elderly?
