BLM Founder Paid Nearly $1 Million to Her Baby Daddy

It’s no grand secret that BLM co-founder Patrice Cullors is in some hot water right now. Her lavish spending on parties, her real estate empire, all funded by non-profit donations to her BLM organization and intended to fight racial injustice. Well, things are about to get a heck of a lot worse for Cullors.

It turns out that she hasn’t only been wasting money on herself. She has been splashing millions out to siblings and even ex-lovers in what almost seems like some sort of rudimentary money laundering scheme.

According to documents obtained by DailyMail, “BLM paid a company owned by Damon Turner, the father of Cullors’ child, nearly $970,000 to help ‘produce live events’ and provide other ‘creative services.’”

But her baby daddy wasn’t the only beneficiary of her lucrative lifestyle. Dailymail also reported that Patrice’s brother, Paul Cullors, “received more than $840,000 for providing security services to the foundation.”

And it’s not her alone who is spending the organization’s money in ways that can be best described as suspect. It turns out that Patrice also paid out a consulting firm owned by Shalomyah Bowers, who is BLM’s board secretary, more than $2.1 million for providing “operational support, including staffing, fundraising and other key services.”

The document also showed that Patrice had reimbursed the organization $73,523 for a single private charter jet which she justified as helping her avoid COVID.

In all, according to a report from FOX News, Executives of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) Global Network Foundation Inc. “have nearly $42 million in assets, despite spending more than $37 million from July 2020 to June 2021.”

Brian Mittendorf, Ph.D., an accounting professor at Ohio State University, said that the reports show signs of significant “windfall” with “gaps” throughout the reporting. He did, however, say its still too early “ to assume that mismatch reflects intent” emphasizing that actual law breaking is another question entirely.

He noted that, regardless of the outcome, “they set themselves up for being criticized, I think that certainly is the case because they didn’t plug a bunch of those gaps.”

BLM supporters are becoming painfully aware of the corruption of the organization they once stood behind. Do you the actions of Patrice Cullors and her co-founders will destroy the organization? Do you think the movement can survive without it?
