General Milley Warns West Point of “Significant International Conflict”

General Mark Milley, former President Donald Trump’s chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, sent a chilling warning to West Point graduates during a speech over the weekend where he warned of an impending World War with robots.

Milley began by warning the new Military leaders of the upcoming international conflict, saying, “The world you are being commissioned into has the potential for a significant international conflict between great powers and that potential is increasing, not decreasing.”

Milley then goes on to describe a new form of warfare bordering on James Cameron’s hit sci-fi series, Terminator.

“You’ll be fighting with robotic tanks and ships and airplanes,” Milley told the over 1000 graduates, before continuing, “We’ve witnessed a revolution in lethality and precision munitions. What was once the exclusive province of the United States military is now available to most nation states with the money will to acquire them.”

General Milley went on to describe how the United States no longer has military dominance like we did 70 years ago, saying that China and Russia have caught up and even surpassed us in all fields including, “space, cyber, maritime, air, and of course land.”

Milley also tore into Vladimir Putin and his genocide of Ukrainian citizens in his ongoing war telling the troops not to forget the Russian atrocities committed in Mariupol and Bucha. He told them that, “The best way to honor their sacrifice is to support their fight for freedom and to stand against tyranny.”

Like any good military leader, America’s top general emphasized that the ultimate job of the US military was not to be good at war, but “shoulder the responsibility to maintain the peace, to contain and to prevent the outbreak of great power war.”

While trying to hype up these new elite troops is common, it’s definitely concerning to think that we are on the brink of another global conflict. Still, if the 2nd most important figure in the US military after the President is claiming it, it seems hard to dispute. Do you think young people joining the military will end up in a new World War with China and/or Russia like General Milley suggested?
