New NYC School Book Trashes Republicans and Religion

A new book is being circulated in New York City schools that praises Socialist politicians while trashing specific Republicans and religion as a whole.

The book “What You Don’t Know: A Story of Liberated Childhood,” written by and illustrated by Anastasia Higginbotham, has reportedly appeared on the 5th grade reading list in NYC.

The book follows a “queer” young child named Demetrius who is struggling to find his place in school and church. Instead of taking a positive spin, however, the book gets extremely dark.

For example, at one point Demetrius’s spirit is taken to heaven and speaks to a figure who appears to be Jesus and apparently leans Democrat. He asks Jesus if he has a place in heaven and if he is the only God.

Jesus tells him that divinity exists in everything and all faiths and that everyone has the right to love and be loved. Demetrius then points to what looks like Mitch McConnell and says “Even…” to which Jesus says “Yes”.

The author of the book later confirmed in a YouTube video that it is, in fact, Mitch McConnell who she drew into the book, saying, “That’s Mitch McConnell. And the child wants to know if even Mitch McConnell is invited to love and be loved considering all the harm he is causing,”

Later on in the book, while Demetrius is watching TV with his parents, the TV shows “Squad Members” AOC, Rashida Tlaib, Ayanna Pressley, and Ilhan Omar. The narrator uses this imagery to praise the value of resetting the global balance by rewriting the rules of society.

According to Daily Caller, Higginbotham, who is white, also published another children’s book called “Not My Idea” which teaches that being white is evil in and of itself. This book is also listed on the New York City Department of Education’s new Universal Mosaic Curriculum, slated to begin next year.

It is easy to see why so many parents are becoming concerned with modern public schools using their power and position to force monolithic political ideologies on our kids. How do you think all of these political power plays will end up effecting the next few generations of Americans?
