Pennsylvania Senate Republican Primary So Tight Undated Ballots Could Decide It

Mehmet Oz, aka Dr. Oz. is running for Senate in Pennsylvania. His opponent in the Republican primary is Dave McCormick. McCormick is trying to get an edge.

Regarding a different election, “the 3rd US Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia ruled Friday that undated ballots should be counted in a November 2021 election for a county judgeship. The three-judge panel has not yet issued a formal opinion, and the Secretary of State has not yet issued guidance about whether this ruling should apply to other elections,” reports CNN. This is where McCormick thinks he could get an edge.

Trump has backed Mehmet Oz for the Pennsylvania Senate race. While Dr. Oz has a slight lead, McCormick has so far received more mail-in votes than the Trump-backed candidate. Now, McCormick thinks he could get even more.

In light of the 3rd US Circuit Court of Appeals ruling in the other case, McCormick has emailed all 67 counties saying this: “We trust that in light of the Third Circuit’s judgment you will advise your respective Boards to count any and all absentee or mail-in ballots that were timely received but were set aside/not counted simply because those ballots lacked a voter-provided date on the outside of the envelope. To the extent you are not willing to provide this advice, we ask for a formal hearing before your Boards on this issue.”

Elon Musk Calls Hillary Clinton Out About Russia Hoax

This promises to be a very tight primary race, indeed. It is unknown how many undated ballots were not counted, but if there is enough, it could push McCormick into the lead. A recount will be triggered if the vote is within a half a percentage point. Do you think the ballots of people who do not follow directions correctly should be counted?
