Whoopi Goldberg: Stop Using Guns to Abort Young Lives

Whoopi Goldberg went off on gun ownership in America after the slaughter of 19 children at an elementary school in Texas. The host of The View compared the death of the young kids by the crazed gunman to abortion.

The segment started with Whoopi addressing Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who signed nearly two dozen bills this year reducing restrictions on gun ownership in his state.

“Listen. I want to thank Governor Abbott because he signed 22 bills this year making it easier for mass shooters to buy, carry, and own guns in his state,” she said, echoing others on the left who have suggested these new bills helped the gunman buy his weapons just days before the shooting.

Goldberg then began calling for more monitoring of gun ownership, still not wading into the abortion debate…yet. “So you sold an AR-15 at the gun show? See you in court. Does your neighbor have too big an arsenal? Call the cops.”

And that’s when it happened. Whoopi flipped the narrative entirely and compared the mass shooting and gun access to abortions and Roe V Wade. “Actually, let’s invoke some Supreme Court logic too. Alito says abortion’s not in the Constitution. Neither are AR-15s. So I guess the Constitution doesn’t cover them either. Life is so sacred, then stop using guns to abort young lives. Stop using guns –”

However, before Whoopi could continue, liberal activist Joy Behar piped in, yelling, “And stop voting for Republicans!” She was met with a huge applause from the audience.

Goldberg was visibly upset by Behar’s contribution to the conversation, pushing back, “No. Don’t stop voting for Republicans. But get better Republicans in there.”

Whoopi then tried to strike a more moderate tone, suggesting that she was not against gun ownership, but instead against weapons like the AR-15. She said if abortion is going to be restricted, then people should be forced to give up their AR’s as well. She did say she supported guns like shotguns for hunting.

Goldberg closed the segment by suggesting there should have been more red flags set off when certain firearms or tactical gear are purchased by civilians. She even said it was time to take it to court and take these guns away.

If Whoopi Goldberg and the other hosts of The View had their way, America’s 2nd Amendment would be heavily restricted. Do you think any of her points were correct or do you believe this is just gaslighting to push gun control?
