Elon Musk Throws Gauntlet At AOC, Asks Her To Post Poll On Twitter

Elon Musk issued a challenge this week against AOC on twitter and asked her to post a poll to her own twitter followers. The Congresswoman had not responded to him at the time this report was published.

The Tesla CEO is known for his cryptic tweets, and on Wednesday, he asked Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) to run a poll on her Twitter account asking who was least trustworthy: Politicians or billionaires.

“Who do you trust less?” wrote Musk. “AOC I dare you to run the same poll with your followers.”

AOC and Musk have gone back and forth on Twitter since April. The billionaire entrepreneur asked her to “stop hitting on him” after she wrote: “Tired of having to collectively stress about what explosion of hate crimes is happening because some billionaire with ego problem unilaterally controls a massive communication platform and skews it because Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel took him to dinner and made him special.”

“Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy,” said Musk including a blushing emoji in the tweet.

AOC responded at the time: “I was talking about (Mark) Zuckerberg but ok. That’s some way to get two billionaires in one tweet.”

The sparring has since continued. This week, AOC said she plans on selling her Tesla and buying a union-made electric vehicle. This comes on the heels of Musk announcing that he is planning to vote Republican in the upcoming midterms. Read the full story linked below.

Musk tweeted on Wednesday a veiled insult at the congresswoman.

“Use of the word “billionaire” as a pejorative is morally wrong & dumb…if the reason for it is building products that make millions of people happy,” said Musk.

AOC deleted her tweet in response and said that she wants to “avoid giving people with massive ego complexes like this the attention and QTs/replies they crave and are seeking.”
