Fox News’ Pundit Calls For Gun Control And Blames GOP For “Mass Shootings”

In a segment discussing the Uvalde shooting, Fox News pundit Judith Miller went on the air and called Republicans the “party of egregious mass shootings and uncontrolled guns.”

Fox’s weekend host Arthel Neville asked Miller, who is listed as a Fox News Contributor and Manhattan Institute Adjunct Fellow, if she thought that gun control legislation would get passed.

Miller said that this time may be different, but unlikely, as the Senate goes into recess next week.

“If New Zealand and Australia can do it after their mass shooting, why can’t we?” Miller questioned. “I think it really depends on the Republicans now — they must stop being the party of egregious mass shootings and uncontrolled guns. That has to stop. It’s up to them. And I think Mitch McConnell’s instructions to his fellow Republicans to negotiate with the Democrats suggests that he understands something’s changing.”

“I believe firmly that they should [have] no place on America’s streets,” Miller said about AR rifles on the allegedly conservative leaning network. “You should not have military assault weapons, never mind in the hands of mentally unstable people, but 18-year-olds? Even Wyoming, Arthel, which is one of the most pro-gun states in the nation, does not permit guns to be sold to young people under 21. And one-third of the states have similar laws. So why can’t we as a nation do this?”

Judy Miller is a journalist famous for covering Iraq’s Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) program. She joined Fox News in 2008, according to her Wikipedia.

Mike Sington, retired Senior Executive At NBCUniversal according to his twitter, posted the following response to her segment on Fox, “This is the moment.” Fox News goes rogue, splits from the NRA and Republican Party and calls for gun control.”

In recent years, many conservatives have decried Fox News’ coverage as getting progressively more liberal. It came to a head when 45th President Donald Trump began trashing the channel and their coverage of his administration among other things.
