Jon Voight Stands Up to Anti-Gun Bullies After Texas Shooting

Conservative movie star Jon Voight wasted no time in using his platform to defend America’s 2nd Amendment following the mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas last week that left 19 children and 3 adults dead including the shooter.

Voight, an outspoken conservative activist and major supporter of former President Donald Trump, took to Twitter with a new video to defend this important right.

The legendary actor starts by saying that America must act after the most recent shooting. However, he says the culprits are not guns, as the left claims, but mental illness and bullying.

According to Voight, shooters like the one in Uvalde tend to come from abusive households and be bullied, never receiving the proper help they need that could prevent one of these tragedies from happening.

He says, “this is about brains that are dysfunctioning” before clarifying that it has nothing to do with “healthy human beings serving the country with arms to bear”. He then offers an insightful warning that not addressing these mental issues is a risk to eventually losing the “right to bear arms” enshrined in our Constitution.

Voight continues his message in a 2nd video, where he almost immediately lays the blame for the shooting on the failed leadership of Joe Biden. He declares America has “no remorse for wrongdoings” because we have the “worst in office”.

Voight then calls for proper qualifications and testing for gun ownership to help prevent dangerous people with severe mental illness like the Uvalde shooter from obtaining weapons while still allowing the general population to arm themselves as needed.

He ends the video praying for God to comfort those who lost loved ones and protect our country from another horrible event like this.

Unlike most of Hollywood, Voight has always been proud and outspoken about his conservative beliefs. However, the father of Angelina Jolie almost immediately had his words spun against him by the mainstream media. They claimed Voight’s calls to protect the 2nd Amendment by dealing with the mental health and safety issues were really just a call to restrict gun rights.

The left seemingly wants to separate the right by making them fight amongst themselves, using Voight’s own words against him despite his intentions. Do you believe Jon Voight is right and better testing, mental health, and mandatory firearm schooling could help prevent school massacres? What do you think America should do to solve this problem?
