“Very Deeply Involved,” Soros Describes What Him And Biden Worked On In Ukraine

Investor and liberal activist-philanthropist George Soros spoke at the 2022 World Economic Forum in Davos on May 24 and laid out several statements on his position on how the world is progressing.

One notable clip captured by kanoody on Tik Tok had people talking, though. In it, Soros was taking questions after his speech and described his time working with Joe Biden, before his Presidency, in Ukraine:

“I also want to mention that there was one person that was very deeply involved in Ukraine. That’s Biden. In fact, I got to know him with regard to Ukraine. He had a lot more patience than I had at trying to turn Poroshenko into a Democratic leader. I told him so and Biden kept on it. Trying to convert Poroshenko into a Democrat.”

Soros also mentioned the work of his Open Society Foundation in Ukraine, “We have a foundation in Ukraine and it happens to be one of our best foundations. They refuse to leave and they are leading the society.”

The Billionaire also told the World Economic Forum his fears about Artificial Intelligence and described it as a great way “to produce instruments of control that help oppressive regimes and threaten open societies.”

During his address, he began with dramatic statements like the Russia “invasion may have been the beginning of the Third World War and our civilization may not survive it.”

Soros had some stern comments for Chinese president Xi Jinping saying that he knew about Putin’s invasion at the time of the Chinese Winter Olympics and seemingly mentioned that Xi has mishandled the pandemic.

He said that both regimes in “China and Russia” are a great threat to his open society. Watch his full question and answer after his remarks below.

The meeting in Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum happens every year, but this one was the first physical meeting since the pandemic. Soros was a speaker at the event. Another one of the featured speakers in attendance was Ukrainian President Volodoymr Zelensky, who used his time to ask for billions in aid for his country.

Do you view it as bad that Biden was working with Soros in Ukraine? Let us know your thoughts.
