Jim Biden, the older brother of President Joe Biden, gave a rare phone interview this week where he finally discussed his alleged role as his family’s fixer.

The older Biden brother was more than happy to talk about his role in the family after a recent renewed interest in Hunter Biden’s emails implicated him in some of the family’s more controversial business dealings.

He explained that he is heavily involved in his family’s businesses and other dealings.

“I’m the guy who assists in everything,’ James Biden told the Washington Post. “When it comes to my family I try to be as supportive as I can.”

He then fired back at the notion that he is some sort of criminal fixer, saying “But this notion of “the fixer,” or any reference that has a negative connotation, is offensive.”

Jim Biden continued by claiming that his actions are always ethical, “The notion I am some underworld figure and I am a fixer or the cleaner or I’m this or that — I’m a very concerned family member who tries to protect my family in every way I can, in what is a very ethical way.”

Despite his claims, Jim Biden has often been linked to many of his brother’s more controversial political and business interests. In 2018 it was reported that Jim offered up resources from the Biden Cancer Initiative to Integrate Oral Care during an investment pitch, adding that Joe would be “very excited” about the product. The Biden Cancer initiative was an offshoot of Biden’s Cancer Moonshot during the Obama Administration which was appropriated $1.8 billion in federal funds from Congress.

In an email from Hunter Biden’s laptop dating back to 2017, Jim Biden told Hunter about some major business deal involving his father. He wrote:

“You need to call me now! Just got off the phone with your father…We have the two biggest days of our business life in front of us!!!!!! “

“We must be smart, or everything goes up in smoke! Please call me. You MUST remain calm. Timing could not be worse. Calm and measured!!!! “

“Paybacks can come later.”

Jim and Hunter Biden later co-signed a deal with officials from the Chinese energy group CEFC. Republicans in Congress are currently investigating James and Hunter this and other business deals.

Joe Biden himself helped to stick his brother with the term “fixer” just last year in Connecticut when he said, “My brother Jimmy, who fixes everything — my brother Jimmy was with us, and we went down and bought about 28 gallons of paint.”

Jim Biden only came out to reject the title of fixer because he knew he had to. The evidence against him has been stacking up and this could be his last chance to try and change the narrative.
