Kamala Harris Laughs When Talking About California Droughts

Amid the mounting crises facing the Biden administration, Vice President Kamala Harris announced the administration’s plan to help with water security worldwide and help secure fresh water as a strategic resource for the United States. However, everyone is talking about the weird vocal moment she had in the video below in the midst of telling a personal story of dealing with droughts from her childhood.

The Vice President made the announcement in her home state of California – which is suffering massive droughts at the moment. Watch her laugh in the middle.

“I remember watching in the Oakland hills in northern California. the landscape turning from green to brown. Everyone from my mother, to teachers, to radio DJ’s, KDIA ‘lucky 13‘…” Kamala began laughing, “… saying how important it was to conserve water.

Harris has frequently been caught laughing when talking about inappropriate subjects and this is just another example.

“I remember how unsettling it was to imagine how our access to a resource so basic and essential as water, how that could become so uncertain, and we cannot take it for granted,” Harris continued.

Harris said that the Biden administration is planning to push water security to prevent international conflicts over water scarcity in the future. This is documented upcoming problem, but Harris’ delivery in her speech defies the seriousness of it.

“Many of our most fundamental national security interests depend on water security,” Harris said later in her speech.

“The past two-and-a-half years during the pandemic have demonstrated that our world is more interconnected and interdependent than ever before. Water scarcity is a global problem and it must be met with a global solution. So today, we make clear the United States will be a leader in the solution,” Harris continued.

Harris later stated that the droughts and fires in California are created by climate change, “Across the West, we have seen the terrible cost of the climate crisis. And I have visited many of the places where we have seen the wildfires, where families have lost their homes and their loved ones, where entire communities have been wiped out.”
