The country has been riveted by the defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. Now that the jury has reached a verdict, and Johnny Depp prevailed, it has motivated Kyle Rittenhouse to move forward with his own defamation lawsuits.
Back in November of last year, the country was riveted by a different trial: that of Kyle Rittenhouse. He was accused of shooting and murdering two people and injuring another during a riot in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Liberals immediately jumped to the conclusion that he was an evil, murdering white supremacist and many said the same, quite publicly and vocally.
But the jury, who heard all of the evidence, found that Rittenhouse acted in self-defense and acquitted him of the murder charges. After that, Rittenhouse said he wanted to sue quite a few people, from Joe Biden to media outlets and celebrities including Whoopi Goldberg and Young Turks” founder Cenk Uygur.
In February, Rittenhouse told Tucker Carlson he was launching the Media Accountability Project as a “tool to help fundraise and hold the media accountable for the lies they said and deal with them in court.” Rittenhouse said the project would support anyone who wanted to sue the media because he didn’t “want to see anybody else have to deal with what [he] went through.”
In February, Rittenhouse tweeted: “It’s time to hold the media accountable in court for their malicious lies, defamation and propaganda. Become a founding donor http://donate.tmap.org/twtr“
Depp’s verdict “fueled” Rittenhouse once again. Following the announcement of the jury’s verdict in the Depp/Heard trial, Rittenhouse tweeted: “I have a new announcement coming soon about my defamation cases, keep an eye on Fox News and http://TMAP.org for more this week. Johnny Depp trial is just fueling me, you can fight back against the lies in the media, and you should!”
See what Whoopi Goldberg said about AR-15’s
Rittenhouse says he is alive today because he was able to protect himself with the AR-15 he took to the protests that night. He is a big proponent of the Second Amendment for that reason. He also knows what it’s like for liberals everywhere, but especially in the media, to think they can be judge, jury and executioner in the court of public opinion. Should he sue those who defamed him and, if he does, do you think he will win?
