NYPD released the shocking footage on May 22 that showed the Brooklyn teenager, named Dagean Wilson, walking into the Urban Juice Bar & Grill. As she is about to enter, a man holding a black knife casually runs up behind her and stabs her. Watch the footage next.

Wilson, the teenager, says she is grateful for New York’s police and their response to the random attack.

“I felt a sharp pain,” Wilson said. “It didn’t feel like I got stabbed or anything, so I just went into the store, and two men came in and told me that I had been stabbed. They said they saw him do it.”

“They walked me home, and I told my mom what happened,” the teen said.  “I think it was just random. He didn’t know me.”

Lewis seen running up behind the teenager before she entered a deli.

Wilson says she feels “anxious” when she goes out now amidst the fear of being violently assaulted again.

“I just keep looking over my shoulder,” Wilson told the press. “I just keep looking to the side. It’s a bit scary to go outside now. I’m really anxious. It still plays in the back of my head.”

Call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) to give information to the police about Lewis’ whereabouts.

Cops identified the man as 20-year-old Osie Lewis and are asking for help finding him.

Authorities describe Lewis as having a black hair and a goatee. He weighs 150 pounds and has a medium complexion. At the time of the attack, he was wearing a black T-shirt with a graphic of a lion on it, grey sweatpants, and white sneakers. He was carrying a black-looking knife in the video.

Murders in New York are actually down 9 percent and shootings are down 6.5 percent from 2001. However, overall crime is up in by 38.42 percent in 2022. Felony assaults are up 18.4 percent, rapes are up 16.1 percent, and robberies are up 39.3 percent, according to the Daily Mail.

Mayor of New York Eric Adams promised voters that he would crack down on crime, but the crime does not seem to be abating any time soon. He recently placed 1,000 more officers into the NY subway system when he launched a subway safety initiative in April.
