Obrador, who worked closely with former President Trump to stem illegal immigration, made the announcement during a recent press conference. The President of Mexico said, “We are not going to allow Mexican migrants to be questioned in campaigns to supposedly win votes, we do not accept xenophobia, we do not accept racism.”

He then announced his plan to rally Mexicans living in the United States to vote against candidates or parties who speak ill of them.

“And if a party, candidates, thinking that if they speak ill of the Mexican they are going to get votes, well, from here we are going to denounce those facts so that our countrymen over there know who is who.”

This is not the first time that Obrador has suggested a radical solution like this, having previously called for action against any American political party who speaks ill of Central or South American nations.

“When someone goes too far and causes offense, we’ll call them out so that our countrymen help us. Because there are 40 million of us. Don’t forget your origins.”

Despite his formerly close relationship with Trump, the proud socialist President Obrador has praised former President Obama for his immigration policies, name dropping then Vice President Biden as a major piece of the puzzle.

President Obrador announced that he will also not be attending the upcoming Summit of Americas in Los Angeles. He said he will be joining in unity with fellow Socialist countries Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua who have all been excluded from the event.

Andrés Manuel López Obrador was the first ever open socialist elected to lead Mexico, representing the National Regeneration Movement Party or La Morena. What do you think of the president of Mexico at this point? Do you appreciate him for helping Trump or are you concerned with his love for Socialist countries who have long been considered US enemies?
