While Donald Trump garners a lot of attention, not everyone in the Republican party supports him. In fact, some party members don’t like him at all. One group has even put out an ad that urges conservatives to watch the January 6 hearings.
A group called the Republican Accountability Project says they support Republicans who stand up for democracy, hold Republicans who lied about the election accountable and refute lies and conspiracy theories about election fraud. Now they are putting out an ad and calling Donald Trump out.
The final line of the ad say, “A lie drove the attack. Now, it’s time to learn the truth.”
The group will run the ad on television and online in the battleground states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin which are the states where Trump and his supporters tried to overturn the results of the 2020 election, reports Huff Post. Sarah Longwell, the group’s executive director, said this in a statement: “Donald Trump’s lies about the 2020 election lit the spark that caused the January 6 attack. It’s time for the American people to hear the truth.”
Here’s one person’s take on the Republican Accountability Project: “RINOS ARE “REPUBLICANS” IN NAME ONLY. THEY ARE AN EXTENSION OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY WHO DO NOT UPHOLD AND DEFEND THAT WE ARE A CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC. REPUBLICAN ACCOUNTABILITY PROJECT ARE RINOS AND WILL NEVER BE #AMERICAFIRST. VOTE THEM OUT.”
All the major networks as well as CNN and MSNBC will air the hearings live. Fox has chosen not to air the hearings.
This is progressives worst nightmare, see it for yourself
Obviously not everyone who calls themselves a Republican is on the same page regarding Donald Trump. One faction really hopes to take him down with their ad and with getting people to watch the hearings. Do you intend to watch them?
