Sen. Kennedy: Gas Prices So High It’s “Cheaper To Buy Cocaine” and Run Everywhere

Last Tuesday, GOP Senator John Kennedy made a joke about the gas prices at the expense of President Joe Biden during a recent stint on Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime.

At the 1:30 minute mark he says a line comparing the price of gas to the price cocaine and offering a unique way that Americans could save money at the pump.

“Meanwhile, her boss [referencing Kamala Harris], President Biden, continues to campaign for more economic chaos by trying to convince us in Congress to raise taxes by three and a half-trillion dollars by expanding an already generous welfare state and by turning cops into social workers,” said Kennedy. “Meanwhile, I don’t know about where you live, Jesse, but in my state, the price of gas is so high that it would be cheaper to buy cocaine and just run everywhere.”

Watters is heard laughing in response to the joke.

The average price for gasoline in the United States is above $5 and is up from $3 per gallon last year, according to the AAA. In California, prices have even rocketed past $6.34.

In another hilarious aside, Kennedy told Watters that when he feels “inadequate, I just look around” at the people in Washington D.C.

“On really bad days, I see liars and frauds and meatheads and every direction,” said Sen. Kennedy about working at the Capitol.

The Senator then used his time to rip into Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen’s previous statements about inflation being “transitory.” She recently came out and apologized for the remarks as being inaccurate.

Kennedy did not spare Vice President Kamala Harris either and called her delusional for her mission to invest billions into Central America as a stopgap against mass southern immigration into the U.S. She was tasked by Biden to stop the flow of migration early in his presidency. Meanwhile, illegal immigration has only gotten worse over the year.

“The root cause of the illegal immigration is that people are coming into our country illegally, and people are coming into our country illegally because you and President Biden are letting them in,” Kennedy said. “Enforce the law. Do what we were doing the day before you took office.

“That’s why President Biden is about as popular as a sink hole,” said Kennedy in conclusion.

Senator Kennedy is funny and really ripped into the incompetence facing us in Washington during the segment. These crises are man-made and self-inflicted. It’s the leftist dogma that is leading them and they are not based in practical solutions to help everyday Americans. Name something else that gas is now more expensive then in the comments.
