Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s life was allegedly saved by the sister of a California man who was planning to murder him.

26-year-old Nicholas Roske was charged with attempted murder of Justice Kavanaugh last week after he called police on himself. He was arrested outside of Kavanaugh’s home at 2am with a handgun, tactical gear, a knife, and zip ties.

He took a taxi straight from the airport to the Justice’s house before his sister convinced him in a last minute text message exchange to abandon his plan, turn himself in, and seek psychiatric help.

When police arrived, he confessed he had purchased the gear “for the purpose of breaking into the justice’s residence and killing the justice as well as himself.” He also asked the officers to help him get psychiatric help.

“The suspect arrived by taxi and observed the U.S. marshals, and he turned around to contemplate his next move,” Montgomery County Police Chief Marcus Jones told The Washington Post.

Roske told the 9-11 operator “I brought a firearm with me, but it’s unloaded and locked in the case… It’s in a suitcase. It’s a black suitcase… I’m standing near it, but the suitcase is zip-tied shut. I just came from the airport.”

He continued by explaining he wanted officers to know he would be fully compliant with the arrest and would not pose a threat to them.

“I’m standing now, but I can sit, whatever. I want to be fully compliant. So whatever they want me to do, I’ll do,” the now-incarcerated suspect said.

If found guilty and not insane, Roske could face up to 20 years in a federal prison and up to a $50,000 fine.

The arrest came after the Supreme Court’s conservative Justices including Kavanaugh drafted an opinion that would repeal abortion protections provided by Roe v Wade. The attempted assassin said this, along with a personal desire to kill himself, were the main reasons he targeted the judge.

After nearly a week of inaction following Roske’s arrest, the House of Representatives is finally considering boosting security at the homes of the Justices to protect their impartiality. Still, on some level Pelosi must be aware that Biden could replace any Justices who were attacked with his own, liberal nominees. Do you think the House Democrats are hoping for more mentally ill people like Roske to be triggered into action?
