The Department of Homeland Security is going to be disciplining “multiple” horseback Border Patrol agents involved in the “whipping” of Haitian migrants that happened in September of 2021.

There’s just one problem with the whole thing: the agents never whipped them. That turned out to be false and the border patrol agents were actually seen swirling their leather reins in the famous pictures. See below.

The news about them preparing to punish the agents gleaned from a Fox News source in the federal government that said that the announcement is coming in the next couple of days. The agents will be able to respond to the charges.

DHS plans to discipline the agents by charging them with “administrative violations” – not criminal conduct. The agents had been previously cleared of all criminal wrongdoing.

When it happened, Democrats and their media mouthpieces said that the reins of the horses were actually “whips” and being used to whip the migrants on the border. The story was covered by ABC, CBS, and NBC, and neither of the news agencies issued a retraction on the story.

Listen to what Biden said at the time about punishing those involved. He called the incident an “embarrassment” and said those involved “will pay.”

“There will be an investigation underway now and there will be consequences,” Biden said.

The border agents being cleared from wrongdoing doesn’t preclude them from being fired, but it does mean that the accusations were not true.

Nevertheless, the Biden admin has continued to propagate this lie along with the legacy media and is now pushing these agents – despite the facts being on their side. Is this just a failed attempt to try and drum up support for Democrats in the midterms or is it something more sinister? Are they trying to demoralize our border agents?
