Brandon Judd Goes Off On Biden For Punishing Border Agents Accused Of Whipping

National Border Patrol Council president Brandon Judd knocked President Joe Biden for using “executive authority” to punish Border Patrol agents on Fox News while speaking to Dana Perino and Bill Melugin on Wednesday.

In the segment, Judd said he would “vigorously defend” the agents after they were accused of “whipping” Haitian migrants attempting to cross the border – a claim that was later proven false. Early Wednesday, we reported that the Biden administration is planning to punish the agents with “administrative” violations as punishment for a crime they never committed.

Judd ripped into Biden over the decision, “This is disgusting. Every single American citizen should be extremely upset about this. This is a president using his executive authority to go after individuals. He wasn’t able to get them criminally because that’s out of his purview. He can’t control what a jury would do, but he can control the administrative process.”

He did not hold back there and said that the entire controversy does nothing but demoralize border agents who have a difficult job as is.

“These are executive branch employees – the Office of Professional Responsibility. They fall under the executive branch. Because of what the president said, these investigators had no choice but to find some sort of wrongdoing. And I promise you, we will vigorously defend these allegations against these agents. We know that they did nothing wrong. We know that it was a powder keg. We know that they were sent there to do a specific job, and they did that job. Now they’re coming back to be vilified,” said Judd.

“This is President Biden using his political powers to go after what he perceives as political enemies. That should never happen in this country,” he finished.

Meanwhile, the southern border has experienced more crossing encounters than ever before.

Chart shows the number of encounters year over year that Customs and Border Protection has encountered.

Judd is referring to news that broke Wednesday showing that the Department of Homeland Security will be be disciplining “multiple” horseback Border Patrol agents involved in the “whipping” of Haitian migrants that happened in September of 2021.

The agents never whipped the migrants, though. That turned out to be false and the border patrol agents were actually seen swirling their leather reins in the infamous pictures.

However, DHS still plans to discipline the agents by charging them with “administrative violations” – not criminal conduct. The agents had been previously cleared of all criminal wrongdoing.

It’s becoming increasingly more obvious that Biden is doing this for political favors with his base. The original story of the agents allegedly “whipping” the migrants was never corrected and many of the uninformed left are aware of this. This is why Biden is deciding to do this now. He needs something to save his poll numbers. Do you agree with Judd that Biden is doing this just for the politics and not to protect this country?
