Ginni Thomas, the political activist wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, agreed to testify to the January 6th Special Committee this week.
The announcement came after Thursday’s hearing where the committee worked to paint Thomas as a major player in former President Trump’s attempts to overturn the election results.
Thursday’s hearing focused on Vice President Mike Pence as well as Trump’s former attorney John Eastman. According to the committee, a series of messages were exchanged between Ginni Thomas and Eastman about the election. Eastman was also a former Law Clerk to Justice Clarence Thomas.
The New York Times reported that Eastman then had a separate exchange with another Trump campaign attorney about “insight into internal Supreme Court discussions related to the election results.” The email sent on January 5th, 2021, says that the Court was currently involved in “heated” debates on whether or not to take up election-related lawsuits.
The details of the email exchanges have not been revealed. Thompson said that they were still in the “discovery” phase but would probably make them public “at some point.”
Committee Chairman Rep Bennie Thompson (MS) told Axios on Thursday that they “think it’s time that we, at some point, invite her [Thomas] to come talk to the committee.”
Almost immediately after the request from Thompson was published, Ginni Thomas told the Daily Caller in a follow up interview, “I can’t wait to clear up misconceptions. I look forward to talking to them.”
Ginni Thomas has stirred up controversy in the past with her political activism. Ginni was a career Republican political operative even before meeting her Supreme Court Justice husband and has continued working on political projects since his appointment to the highest court. While it is unacceptable for SCOTUS Justices to be politically involved, many believe Ginni and other spouses should be held to the same standard.
Here are some angry liberal activists protesting outside the Thomas family’s home.
While the Left has been hoping to use Ginni’s politics to force Clarence Thomas to step down, her immediate acceptance of the committee’s invitation is likely to dampen their plans. Do you think she would have accepted so quickly and confidently if she had anything to hide? Should SCOTUS spouses be allowed to involve themselves in partisan politics?

So, the SCOTUS will have a reliable testimony of the unconstitutional attacks of the j6 committee and the lack of legal courtroom procedures. Calling Ms. Thomas may very well lead to the federal prosecution and imprisonment of members of the j6 committee and those behind it.
When will Dem's stop their witch hunt and instead do some work for the good of the country.
If they like it or not, President Trump will come back for a glorious 2 terms in 2024, hopefully with a VP like DeSantis who then will become a great President for 2 terms, bye bye Dem's you had your chance and messed it up!
The wives or husbands are not the justices. So why should their 1st adminment right be affected because of who their spouse's are. She has to put up with the idiot protesters the same as her husband. She should be able to say what she thinks of them or any other subject. That go's for the rino jusice and the democratic justices. I know the rino said their are no republican or democrat justices. Well he was half right we constitutional justices and we have democrat justice's.
