Liz Cheney Gets Really Bad Omen After Tuesday Elections

On Tuesday, primary election results came in from across the country. Some of the results were surprising, but it’s one race in particular that Wyoming Representative Liz Cheney is likely paying close attention to. South Carolina Rep. Tom Rice, who voted to impeach Trump after January 6, 2021, was destroyed in his primary by state Rep. Russell Fry. Rice lost by over 25 percent.

Trump endorsed Fry and posted after the results of the race, “The ‘Impeacher’ was ousted without even a runoff. A GREAT night.”

Of the 10 Republicans that voted to impeach Trump in 2021, there are only five left. Illinois Rep. Adam Kinzinger, New York Rep. John Katko, Michigan Rep. Fred Upton, and Ohio Rep. Anthony Gonzalez chose to retire at the end of their term. Their voters were likely not going to vote for them anyways.

There are five incumbents left including Cheney that face tough primaries because of their decision to impeach President Trump: Washington GOP Reps. Dan Newhouse and Jaime Herrera Beutler, Michigan Rep. Peter Meijer, and California Rep. David Valadao. The last one is the only person not facing a Trump-endorsed challenger and he is second place after his primary for the 22nd Congressional district in California.

Cheney faces Trump endorsed Harriet Hageman, who the former president held a rally for in May. He didn’t mince words when talking about Cheney, either.

“She’s the face of the Washington swamp and the same failed foreign policy of the Clintons, Bushes, the Obamas, the Bidens and the entire sick political establishment,” Trump said at his rally.

Watch Hageman speak at the Trump rally below.

Of course, Cheney has been the face of the January 6 hearings investigating the events surrounding the Capitol breach.

Her impeachment counterpart, Rice was a staunch conservative and besides his last minute anti-Trump vote was a strong supporter of Trump’s policies. He had a 92% score from Heritage Action, a conservative think tank, and voted with Trump 94% of the time in Congress.

This shows that despite his political actions, voters are tired of Republicans that took part in the quickest impeachment hearing in history.

Liz Cheney Announces Reelection, Gets Really Bad Polling

Cheney is not looking good in polling done by Club for Growth. Hageman received 56 percent support and Cheney received 26 percent in the GOP primary poll. Anthony Bouchard got 12 percent, and 6 percent of GOP voters were undecided.

Republican voters are obviously tired of seeing their own representatives cowering to Democrat demands and going against Trump’s American First agenda. Liz Cheney is very aware of this at this point and is likely just running so she can pocket the millions she has fundraised for the race. She really doesn’t have a chance of winning. Would you ever vote for Cheney if she was in your district? Let us know your thoughts.
