Elon Musk criticized the Democratic Party and President Joe Biden in a long-form interview that he gave with the Tesla Owners Silicon Valley club.
In the interview, Musk told his true feelings about the Democratic Party and said that it was the United Auto Workers Union (UAW) that got Tesla excluded from the White House electric vehicles event because the company was not unionized. The summit occurred back in August of 2021.

Musk said that the Democrats are essentially tied at the hip with the unions.
“The general public is not aware of the degree to which unions control the Democratic Party. One does not need to speculate on this point,” Musk said in the freewheeling interview.
Neither Tesla nor SpaceX are unionized and Musk says this is because people want to work there. He said that Unions have tried to foist themselves on Tesla, but have so far been foiled.
During the interview Musk continued to harp on Tesla’s exclusion from last year’s EV summit, “Last year, Biden held an EV summit where Tesla was explicitly not allowed to come, but the [United Auto Workers] was. So, Tesla has made two-thirds of all the electric vehicles in the United States.”
The UAW is one of the most powerful unions in the country and has influence with both political parties. Last year, the union was struck by scandal when one of their officials was charged with embezzling “$2 million in union funds, money laundering and spending the funds on gambling, guns, cars and child-support payments,” according to The Detroit News.
“So, deliberately excluding us from an EV summit at the White House — but including UAW — tells you everything you need to know,” Musk said.
He continued belaboring the point, “They have so much power over the White House that they can exclude Tesla from an EV summit — insane.”

During the event last year, Biden praised GM CEO Mary Barra at the White House EV summit. Musk called the moment “next level insanity” because GM had delivered only 26 electric vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2021.
This March, Musk criticized the UAW over charges that one of their former officials had embezzled money from the union.
He said that UAW was “Fighting for the right to embezzle money from autoworkers” in a barb at the group.
Elon Musk has become increasingly more outspoken about supporting Republicans in the upcoming election. This is at odds with many of his colleagues in Silicon Valley that have only supported Democrats for decades. It’s likely because he is tired of the Democrats and their puppet masters in the unions.
