Senator Tim Scott Blasts Biden for Abortion “Fear Mongering”

Republican Senator Tim Scott (SC) criticized President Biden’s actions following the end of Roe V Wade during an interview with FOX News over the weekend.

Senator Scott, who is often pitched as a potential Republican presidential candidate, blasted the president for what he called a “fear-mongering” campaign over the Supreme Court’s decision.

“Fear-mongering is really what President Biden just talked about, he’s fear-mongering,” declared Scott.

He then continued by celebrating Republican’s recent accomplishment of stacking federal benches, not just the Supreme Court, in their favor under President Trump. Scott said, “The truth is, I’m so thankful that over the last three or four years, we were able to put 300 federal judges on the bench and three conservative Supreme Court justices.”

Unlike Biden, who constantly paints the conservative justices on the court as anti-constitution activists, Tim Scott portrayed the conservative supermajority as a firewall against activist liberal judges like Sonia Sotomayor.

“This is the firewall that America needs,” Scott stated. “I am thankful that I was a part of making that happen. We should all celebrate those who are originalists, those who read the text, a textualist, who understand and appreciate if it is in there, don’t pretend that it is.”

Democrats have worked day and night to paint the Supreme Court as radical activists since the Court’s decision to reverse Roe v Wade. Despite claims from Biden and his allies, the decision did not actually ban abortion on any level. Instead, it sent the issue back down to individual states to decide as prescribed by the 10th Amendment of the US Constitution.

Technically, Democrats could even still codify abortion access as a federal right before November by suspending the filibuster with a 51-49 vote and then pass a law by the same margins making it official. Despite that, the left seems more interested in using the issue to fundraise for themselves and try to get voters turned out for November.

Do you think Tim Scott is right that all Biden and his cronies are doing at this point is fear mongering? Do you think they have any intention of trying to legislate abortion access or is this all just a political game to them?
