Kamala Harris Changes Stance On Biden 2024 Re-Election

Vice President Kamala Harris made a complete about face concerning her boss’s upcoming reelection bid.

On Monday VP Harris was asked about Joe Biden’s prospect of running for reelection as well as whether or not she would run with him. In that interview she gave a confident answer, telling CNN’s Dana Bash, “Joe Biden is running for reelection, and I will be his ticket mate. Full stop.”

On Wednesday, however, she flipped almost completely on her boss when her office released an official statement correcting what she told CNN about Biden’s bid.

On Wednesday, a reporter in the Vice President’s pool shared an email with the new announcement from the Veep’s office. It read: “The White House said VPOTUS wanted to clarify comments she made on CNN a few days ago. When asked if Biden was definitely running, Harris replied: ‘The president intends to run and if he does, I will be his ticket mate. We Will run together.'”

While the statement could easily be interpreted as a new hint about Biden’s wavering election prospects, a Democrat close to the White House told the LA Times there is another reason for the revision. They said Kamala Harris needed to avoid using any “trigger words” that would indicate a new campaign beginning based on Federal Election Commission requirements.

The swap comes on the same day as a new poll was released by the Associated Press showing that 85% of American adults think the country is under the wrong track under Biden’s leadership, including over 60% of Democrats.

The weakness of the sitting President has not gone unnoticed, either, with potential 2024 candidates like Pete Buttigieg, Stacey Abrams, and even Rep AOC floating possible runs for the Oval Office. Do you think the Democrats like Kamala Harris will stick with Biden if he wants to run for reelection or have they already decided to dump him less than 2 years into his term?
