Bette Midler Posts “Racist” Meme Aimed At Clarence Thomas

Hollywood actress Bette Midler has been accused of posting a racist meme about Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas in response to the high court’s recent decision.

The so-called “progressive” actress has attacked Thomas online previously and was obviously angry over the overturning of Roe v. Wade. She posted a meme showing Thomas’ face photoshopped onto a mask with his eyes missing and showing his wife, Virginia, wearing the black robes. It’s an obvious attempt to de-person Thomas and make his white wife the decision maker.

Not to mention, how openly racist it was. It also discounts the accomplishments of the conservative justice who is only the second Black man to serve on the Supreme Court.

People on Twitter immediately labeled Midler a racist for the post.

Commentator Tim Young wrote, “We get it… you’re racist.”

“Once again, the left’s abject racism is on full display,” wrote one person on Twitter.

Another recalled the famous speech that Thomas gave before the Congress that led to his confirmation. He spoke out against the liberal order and called the way they treated him a “high-tech lynching.”

Several people shared a Malcolm X quote in the comments as well that warned against liberals using more antiquated language:

“The worst enemy that the [Black people] have is this white man that runs around here drooling at the mouth professing to love [Black people ] and calling himself a liberal, and it is following these white liberals that has perpetuated problems that [Black people] have.”

New York Mayor’s Aid Robbed At Gunpoint

It’s typically a racist trope to erase a minority’s ability to make decisions on their own. That’s why Midler’s meme was seen as racist. She deliberately tries to blame Thomas’ wife for his statements and erases his own self-determination. Thomas is also only one of the six votes to overturn Roe. Why attack only him?

On July 3rd, she posted another tasteless meme aimed at the Justice.

It’s apparent that the left does not like Black men or women that do not go along with the narrative. Look how they treated Thomas. Do you think this is because they are racist despite calling the right racist? Let us know your thoughts.
