Top Paid Staffers At Biden’s White House Revealed

The White House released a list of the salaries of all of the White House staffers this week, revealing who is getting paid the most by the federal government.

Unsurprisingly, many of Biden’s top advisors are doing quite well for themselves, with some coming close to the President himself.

Coming in at the top of the list is Acting Science Advisor Francis Collins, who makes an incredible $300,000 despite the top salary being set at $180,000. He is listed as a “detailee” rather than an “employee” of the White House.

Next up on the list are people like Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who pulls an impressive $180,000 plus benefits. She is joined by 24 other employees including Chief-of-Staff Ron Klain, Klain’s Deputy Chief of Staff Jennifer Dillon, Biden Comms Director Kate Bedingfield, Director of Domestic Policy Susan Rice, and the Director of the National Economic Council Brian Deese, who is in charge of the current inflation crisis.

Most of the employees listed in the document make over $100,000. The average cost of living in Washington DC was estimated at $65,169 in 2020 by SoFi. Some of the lower wage employees included trip coordinators, research advisors, and writers for the president who pulled a much less impressive $48,000 per year. Another 16 advisors listed made $0 salaries for their service to the White House.

President Joe Biden was not on the list himself, however he makes an annual salary of $400,000, which has been the Presidential salary since the Bush administration in the early 2000’s. Congress has only changed the presidential salary 5 times in the entire history of the United States.

The only federal employee in the country to receive a higher salary than the President is National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the Chief Medical Advisor to the President Anthony Fauci. Fauci’s salary was set at over $434,000-per-year back in 2020, and he is expected to receive a golden parachute package of over $350,000 per year once he retires.

The high salaries of the White House workers are certain to ruffle some feathers as the United States suffers from some of the worst inflation in the history of our country. Do you think any of the should take salary cuts until our economy is back on track? How much?
