Kanye West to Have Homeless Model His Yeezy Fashion Line As Part of Collab to Help LA’s Homeless Crisis

Kanye West has been in the news most recently for the drama surrounding his divorce from Kim Kardashian. It’s put him in a bit of bad light, but this story shows what a big heart Kanye really has. He wants to help the Los Angeles homeless population.

The founder of Skid Row Fashion Week, David Sebastian, has revealed to TMZ that he met with Kanye West recently while Kanye was recording ‘Donda 2’ at his studio in L.A.’s Arts District, which is near Skid Row. While they were together, they brainstormed a way to help the homeless in Los Angeles.

According to Wikipedia, “Skid Row is neighborhood in Downtown Los Angeles. The area is officially known as Central City East. As of a 2019 count, the population of the district was 4,757.  Skid Row contains one of the largest stable populations (about 4,200–8,000) of homeless people in the United States and has been known for its condensed homeless population since at least the 1930s. Its long history of police raids, targeted city initiatives, and homelessness advocacy make it one of the most notable districts in Los Angeles.

Skid Row Fashion Week “donates a portion of all sales to helping those living on Skid Row and the factory that makes the clothes employs the homeless,” said Sebastian, and he added that “the Yeezy collab will use 100% of the proceeds to help the homeless on Skid Row,” reports TMZ.

That’s pretty awesome of Kanye and Sebastian to help the homeless in this fashion. Not only do they donate money but they also provide jobs. What do you think of Kanye West?
