Elon Musk Strikes Back At Trump: “It’s time for him to hang up his hat and sail into the sunset”

The beef between former President Trump and billionaire CEO Elon Musk took a different turn on over the weekend after Trump called Musk a “Bull***t artist.” On Monday, the Tesla CEO responded and said that it was time for Trump to “hang up his hat and sail into the sunset.”

He then continued saying that Democrats should stop attacking Trump because it is giving him no choice but to run for office again to protect himself.

“(Musk) said the other day, I’ve never voted for a Republican. I said I didn’t know that; he told me he voted for me. He’s another bull***t artist, but he is not going to be buying it (Twitter),” Trump said on Saturday.

“I do’nt hate the man,” he tweeted, “Dems should also call off the attack – don’t make it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the Presidency,” said Musk.

A Twitter user named Joe Pagliarulo responded to Musk and asked, “Your response makes no sense. What about his presidency did you have a problem with: Energy indpendence, lower regulations, lower taxes, ISIS obliterated, XL pipeline constructed, Russian pipeline stopped, border under control. What — on policy — did you have an issue with?”

Musk responded, “Yeah, but too much drama. Do we really want a bull in a china shop situation every single day!? Also, I think the legal maximum age for start of Presidential term should be 69.”

Conservative commentator Dan Bongino got a response from the billionaire as well after he posted Trump’s statements about him. He replied, “not true.”

Musk then tweeted to a person advocating for DeSantis to be Trump’s vice president.

“Elon responded that Trump would be 82 at end of term, which is too old to be chief executive of anything, let alone the United States of America,” he wrote. “If DeSantis runs in 2024, then DeSantis will easily win – he doesn’t even need to campaign.”

Trump spoke in Anchorage, Alaska on Saturday in support of U.S. Senate candidate Kelly Tshibaka and Congressional candidate Sarah Palin.

Musk pulled out of his deal with Twitter last week over issue with how they count daily active users and the fallout has been legendary.

On Friday, the Tesla CEO sent a lengthy letter to Twitter to tell them he was terminating the deal. The letter complained that, for nearly two months, Musk has sought data to judge the prevalence of “fake or spam” accounts on Twitter. It stated: “Twitter has failed or refused to provide this information. Sometimes Twitter has ignored Mr. Musk’s requests, sometimes it has rejected them for reasons that appear to be unjustified, and sometimes it has claimed to comply while giving Mr. Musk incomplete or unusable information.” Lawyers for the Tesla CEO will argue that this information is fundamental to Twitter’s business and financial performance, and by its actions, “Twitter has not complied with its contractual obligations.”

Do you agree with Elon or Trump? Let us know your comments. They are both billionaires with egos and it’s not surprising that they are beefing with each other as it makes them both relevant. Do you think Elon is right about DeSantis winning easily.
