Rand Paul Rips Biden for “Bowing” to Saudi Arabia

Senator Rand Paul blasted President Joe Biden for capitulating to the Saudi Arabian royal family during a freewheeling interview this week.

The Libertarian Senator from Kentucky, who has long stood against normalized relations with Saudi Arabia, sat down with host John Catsimatidis on his WABC 770 AM radio show in an interview that aired Sunday.

Rand Paul began by discussing alternative ways to improve US energy prices, including increasing domestic production.

“Rather than traveling to Saudi Arabia, [Biden] should be traveling to Texas or North Dakota, and he should be … asking our country to ramp up [oil] supply instead of begging and bowing down to the Saudis and asking them to bump up their supply,” Paul told Catsimatidis.

He stressed that it’s more than just economics, though. “It’s not only bad economics, but it’s embarrassing for him to be over there … begging them for more oil. I couldn’t be more opposed to what he’s doing.”

Paul pointed out that Biden has taken multiple actions that led to our current energy and inflation crises, starting from his day 1 ban on domestic energy production to appease his “woke” voters.

”Everything the Biden administration has done has been to reduce the supply. They’ve banished pipelines. They’ve banished drilling permits. They’ve banished drilling leases. They’ve stopped the expansion of drilling into ANWR, which is a portion of Alaska, which has enough oil to make us completely energy independent, probably for 100 years,” Paul said, referring to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.”

He stressed that Biden’s “all-out attack” on US energy producers has scared away potential investors who could help solve our current issues.

“It shouldn’t shock any of us that the price [of oil] has shot through the roof. There is a way to fix this. They could immediately start encouraging production [in America],” the senator added.

Ran Paul has never hidden his distaste for Joe Biden’s lack of leadership or the United States’ relationship with Saudi Arabia despite their support for terrorism. Do you think he is right about both issues?
