The shooter’s name was Andrew Tekle Sundberg. He was killed by police snipers after a six-hour standoff after shooting into the apartment of a 24-year-old mother, named Arabella Foss-Yarbrough. Her two children were inside the house as the bullets flew through her apartment walls while she was cooking.

In response to the police shooting, BLM activists, including an lead organizer for BLM Minnesota, protested outside the building on Saturday. Things got a little hot up when the mother got in an altercation with the protestors. Watch.

“This is not OK. This is not a George Floyd situation. George Floyd was unarmed,” the mother said.

Foss-Yarbrough was heckled by the protesters who taunted her by saying “shut up” and “you’re alive.”

Another protester said, this is “not the time nor place” for her opinions.

“He tried to kill me in front of my kids,” she said. “My kids have to deal with this and probably have a mental illness now because they almost lost their lives. There’s bullet holes in my kitchen because he sat in the fucking hallway watching my moves.”

“I wish it never happened either. Now I don’t have a place to call home. I can’t sleep at night,” she said after telling them that one of her kids was Black. “This is not OK. Just go home.”

Foss-Yarbrough shared photos of her damaged apartment with a broken glass and mirror and several bullet holes in the walls with media.

“I have black children; I am a woman of color!” Foss-Yarbrough yelled. She herself is of Black and native descent, according to the New York Post.

“If I would have lost my life, would you guys do this for me?”

The BLM organizer responded, “Yes, ma’am.”

The police recovered an extended magazine and several bullet casings from the shooter’s apartment after the standoff. His family said he was having a mental health crisis that caused it. He was adopted from Ethiopia, said CBS Minnesota. Police are working to sort through the hours of footage so they can quickly release it to the public.

The parents of the shooter described emphasizing with the mother who confronted the protesters.

“I wish I could wrap my arms around her and tell her I’m so sorry,” the shooter’s mother said. “I’m so sorry she had to experience that, I’m so sorry for her pain.”

Do you think there is something wrong with these protesters that are threatening this mother when she just lived through a very traumatic experience or are they just ignorant? Or both? BLM used to just stand for Bureau of Land Management but now it means this kind of crap. Protesting for protests sake. Do you feel bad for the mother?

  • Baseless hatred for anyone who isn't on board with their thinking. I heard someone say, "She's having a moment." Duh. You think. She and her children were SHOT at. I'd be having a moment myself. BLM protesters were only concerned with the shooter.
