Biden Makes Own Statement on His Viral Diagnosis

President Joe Biden issued his own update to America on Thursday afternoon after the White House reported the 79-year-old leader was diagnosed with COVID.

“Hey folks, I guess you heard: This morning I tested positive for COVID,” he said.

Biden continued, “But I’ve been double vaccinated, double boosted, symptoms are mild and I really appreciate your inquiries and concerns.  I’m doing well. Getting a lot of work done. I’m going to continue to get it done. “

“And in the meantime, thanks for your concern and keep the faith. It’s going to be OK,” he concluded.

The initial announcement was made by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who told reporters on Thursday morning, “This morning, President Biden tested positive for COVID-19. He is fully vaccinated and twice boosted and experiencing very mild symptoms.”

“He has begun taking Paxlovid. Consistent with CDC guidelines, he will isolate at the White House and will continue to carry out all of his duties fully during that time,” she added.

It has been noted that Biden’s advanced age and medical history put him at risk of developing serious complications from the virus. The president will also have to stop taking his prescription blood thinners while on Paxlovid to avoid any negative side effects of the two interacting.

The First Lady of the United States Jill Biden also spoke out about her husband’s condition, adding that she had tested negative the same morning. She told reporters, “I talked to him just a few minutes ago. He’s doing fine, he’s feeling good.”

The President’s condition is certain to raise concerns considering his overall health. Do you think America should be forced to live in fear of a potential presidential succession scenario every time the president gets sick or is this just proof that Biden really shouldn’t be POTUS at all?
