Lori Lightfoot Clashes With Reporter During Press Conference

During a press conference on Tuesday, Mayor of Chicago Lori Lightfoot clashed with a reporter who was asking about the millions in grants she recently handed out. He accused her of “trying to buy Chicago votes” using them. Watch.

The reporter was asking about Lighftoot’s recent announcement about her intention to hand out $50 million in Community Development Grants to support over 79 economic development projects with the goal of increasing the “vitality and livability of local neighborhoods.”

“These grants invest directly in Chicago’s future by creating more resilient and economically vibrant communities across our city,” said Mayor Lightfoot released in a statement. “When our local entrepreneurs have the tools they need to grow their small businesses, they can thrive and make our neighborhoods that much more livable, functional, and enjoyable. I want to congratulate each and every one of our 79 finalists, as well as thank them for helping to fulfill a need within their respective communities.”

600 applicants were selected on the criteria of business readiness, location, design, neighborhood, the impact the development will have on the community, and other things, according to Chicago.gov.

Lightfoot recently attended a press event on Tuesday announcing NASCAR plans to hold the first-ever NASCAR street race in the city next summer. The series will feature a 12-turn, 2.2 mile-course. It was attended by NASCAR leaders and racers.

On June 21, 2022, Kelly ripped into the mayor for her failures to combat crime in the city on his website.

Kelly says that the George Floyd riots have “triggered a massive surge in violence in cities like Chicago, which has resulted in double and triple-digit increases in murders, shootings, carjackings, sexual assaults and organized retail theft that has turned Chicago’s Magnificent Mile into the Mile of Fear. Chicago is now ranked last in hotel occupancy rates among the top 10 major cities, signaling declining tourism, which experts say is due to violent crime. Lightfoot has denied this.

NBC Host Attacks Trump After Asking About When Biden’s Catching Virus

Lori Lightfoot and her Democrat buddies have turned Chicago into Chiraq, a term used by rappers from the area to describe it is like Iraq. It’s grotesque what they have done to one of America’s most historic cities. Do you think they need a conservative mayor to clean the city up? Let us know your thoughts.
