Public School Employee Who Bragged About His Sexual Orientation Is Arrested As a Child Predator

Liberals would love it if schools, like borders, were completely open: open bathroom policies, open pronoun use, teachers and students all open about their gender identity and sexual preferences. But this story shows how all of that can backfire.

Eric Rohman, a Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, public school employee has been open about his advocacy for LGBTQIA+ curricula. Here he is introducing himself at a school board meeting:

Wearing a Black Lives Matter t-shirt, he talks proudly about how he graduated from the Mt. Pleasant public schools and is now on staff there. He also says he’s a proud member of the LGBTQ community. He then tells the parents how for the last five years he’s had the profound privilege of working with all of their students. He tells them they are hungry for knowledge. He says that despite their wishes and their values, their children will learn on their own. He says their children are hurting, questioning and struggling in the world. He tells the parents that their children will become “who they are…no matter how many candles you light, no matter how many rallies you hold.” He finishes by saying “with liberty and justice for all.” Someone in the audience says “amen.”

41-year-old Mr. Rohman was arrested on July 15, 2022, for soliciting sex with a minor. He was one of three men who were caught in a sting operation, where several officers from several agencies posed as teenagers on a variety of social media apps to bring out potential predators. Rohman and the others tried to meet with a minor, only to be met with handcuffs, the Isabella County sheriff’s office said. They were arrested without incident. All of the men have been charged with accosting a child for immoral purposes and using a computer to commit a crime.

The intonation and words Rohman emphasized at the school board meeting are creepy in retrospect. He was mocking the parents and telling them how their children were going to “learn” regardless of their values or what they do. Are liberals allowing teachers to be too open about sexuality and is it leading to things like this?
