Secret Service Agents Bobby Engel and Tony Ornato Have Hired Attorneys

Something is going on over at the Secret Service and it’s probably not good. Recently it’s come out that they have “lost” text messages that they were supposed to keep and produce for the congressional committee that’s investigating what happened at the Capitol on January 6. Now, some agents have “lawyered up.”

Cassidy Hutchinson testified before the January 6 committee, saying that Donald Trump had lunged at the head of his Secret Service detail, Bobby Engel, on January 6. She testified that she was told this by Deputy Chief of Staff Tony Ornato, who was a Secret Service agent, then went to work for Trump, then returned as a Senior Secret Service agent. She said Engel was in the room when Ornato said what he said and that he (Engel) did not dispute it. Shortly after her testimony, it was reported that both Engel and Ornato would testify under oath that “neither man was assaulted and that Mr. Trump never lunged for the steering wheel.”

Now, it appears that Tony Ornato and Robert Engel are not as excited to testify. They “have not come in, and they recently retained private counsel, which is unusual but they have a right to do that,” Rep. Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif., said.

Secret Service Director James Murray recently reiterated that he support’s the January 6 committee’s work saying he has directed Secret Service personnel “to cooperate fully and completely.”

Prince Harry, Who Came to Live In the United States, Attacks American Democracy

Just because someone “lawyers up” doesn’t mean they are guilty. It usually just means they are smart. When being questioned by people who are trying their best to make you look guilty, even if you are not, it’s best to have someone on your side to help you. It’s also bad, and a crime, to lie under oath to Congress. Why do you think they didn’t just go in and testify?
