VP Harris Says Republicans Don’t Get Female Anatomy

Vice President Kamala Harris used a recent speech to criticize Republican voters, claiming they do not understand the female body.

The slight from the VP came during a visit to the Indiana State Library where she was discussing new bans on abortion and the end of Roe v Wade.

The conversation then turned to the report of a 10 year old girl who was raped and impregnated by an illegal immigrant. The girl allegedly had to travel all the way to Ohio to abort the child due to Indiana’s abortion restrictions. The truth is that Indiana does still allow for legal abortions in the cases of rape, incest and the life of the mother. Ohio, on the other hand, bans ALL abortions after 6 weeks.

Vice President Harris told the audience of legislators at her event, “Maybe some people need to actually learn how a woman’s body works. But when you understand how a woman’s body works, you will understand the parameters being proposed mean the vast majority of women, by time she realizes she’s pregnant she will effectively be prohibited [from abortion].”

She then continued to push the now-disproven narrative about the girl being unable to get an abortion in Indiana, saying, “The idea that in some states after a child or a woman or a man, but in particular in this case of abortion, a woman or a child would have endured such an act of violence and then to suggest that she would not have the autonomy and authority to make a decision about what happens to her body is outrageous.”

Indiana lawmakers are currently requesting a special session an outright abortion ban in their state following the reversal of Roe in the Supreme Court. They would be the first state legislator to actually do this, with many relying on so-called “trigger-bans”, which activated older, previously passed legislation following the highest court’s ruling.

The effort by Harris and the Biden administration to urge state legislators to fight back against abortion bans comes after the Democrats failed to pass an abortion-rights protection bill in the Senate after Democrat Senator Joe Manchin suggested the language of the bill went too far. Since then there has been little movement to pass a more restrictive pro-choice bill that Manchin will support thanks to radical left politicians saying it won’t go far enough.

Democrats are desperate to try and find a way to fight for abortion access while not losing it as a political football to play in November of this year. Do you think Harris has any chance of swinging legislators in Biden’s favor or is this all just pageantry?
