Over the last few years, Disney has proven how liberal of a company it is. It is now pushing its liberal agenda on children in the movies it puts out and got into a dispute with Governor DeSantis in Florida over the so-called “don’t say gay” bill. Now, it has caved to the left again.

Liberals wanted to run some ads, paid for by Democrat organizations, on Hulu that are directed against Republicans in the 2022 election. The ads are about abortion and gun control. At first, Hulu declined to run the ads, “citing its policy against the running of commercials that take a ‘position on a controversial issue of public importance (e.g. social issues),’” reports Breitbart.

Here are the ads they wanted to run:

Disney’s decision not to run the ads led to widespread outrage amongst the liberals. The Washington Post even ran an ad pressuring Disney to run the far-left ads. The Post ad had a quote from the Democrat groups that made the ads: “Hulu’s censorship of the truth is outrageous, offensive, and another step down a dangerous path for our country. Voters have the right to know the facts about MAGA Republicans’ agenda on issues like abortion — and Hulu is doing a huge disservice to the American people by blocking voters from learning the truth about the GOP record or denying these issues from even being discussed.”

It worked. On Wednesday, Disney changed its tune, issuing a statement that said “After a thorough review of ad policies across its linear networks and streaming platforms over the last few months, Disney is now aligning Hulu’s political advertising policies to be consistent with the Company’s general entertainment and sports cable networks and ESPN+. Hulu will now accept candidate and issue advertisements covering a wide spectrum of policy positions, but reserves the right to request edits or alternative creative, in alignment with industry standards.”

It didn’t seem to take much to push Disney to allow the ads. Just a little outrage from liberals in a liberal mainstream media rag and Poof, like a way of a fairy god-birthing person’s wand, they cave. Will you keep watching Hulu if you have to see those kinds of ads on there?
