The View Recants Statement About Turning Point USA

A host of the view has now issued an apology to Turning Point USA Student Action Summit after their Student Action Summit in Tampa, Florida after they accused them of embracing neo-Nazis on their show. The clip came after video was broadcast showing a small group of people wearing Nazi memorabilia and waving freshly unfolded flags on public property outside the event.

Host Whoopi Goldberg led the smear of the nonprofit organization and claimed that they let inside and embraced the “neo-nazis” seen outside the event. In response, there was an online movement on Twitter called #SueTheView. They were then forced to apologize after the organization sent them a cease and desist.

“On Monday we talked about the fact that there were openly neo-Nazi demonstrators outside the Florida Student Action Summit of the Turning Point USA group,” co-host Sara Haines said in the video below.

“We wanna make clear that these demonstrators were gathered outside the event and that they were not invited or endorsed by Turning Point USA.” She continued saying reading the statement from the group saying, we “100 percent condemn those ideologies.”

The security at the event tried to remove the demonstrators but were not able to as they were on public property. The View was also forced to correct another statement saying that the event was run by the Republican party. It’s not.

“We apologize for anything we said that may have been unclear on these points,” Haines concluded.

Goldberg who made the original statement smearing the organization notably did not say a word during the apology that day but a day later apologized.

“It’s not any better when I make assumptions about other people, which I did. So, my bad. I’m sorry,” said the elderly host.

Turning Point USA put out a message after the incident claiming that protesters had left the event and then shortly afterwards the “nazis” appeared wearing masks to hide their face. They were alleging that the two were one and the same, but this has not been proven since most in the media did not bother to investigate.

“After a group of Antifa and left wing protesters showed up, predictably, to protest our event, they eventually dispersed, then minutes later these “nazis” appeared. Who are these people? We have no idea, and apparently ABC and other news media aren’t curious enough to find out,” wrote Turning Point USA.

This just looks like another left-wing operation on its face. Now, we don’t know that because the media did not bother to look into it just as the ladies on the View immediately smeared the conservative TPUSA as “nazis” without much proof. What do you think? Do you think the nazi protest was just another Antifa and left-wing attack or was it real nazis out there? Regardless, they had nothing to do with the event and it’s good the View was forced to take back their statement.
