Trump Claims News of DOJ Investigation Is “Disinformation”

Former President Donald Trump blasted a new report that he is being investigated by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) as Democrat “disinformation”.

This week it was revealed that Donald Trump had ended up as focus in a criminal probe by the DOJ into the January 6th Capitol riots. They are allegedly investigating Trump’s campaign to pressure Mike Pence into overturning the election as well as whether or not he helped coordinate a slate of phony electors.

“Just more disinformation by the Democrats, like the Russia, Russia, Russia Scam, Impeachment Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax #2, the long running Mueller Report, which ended in No Collusion, and so much more,” Trump wrote.

He added, “Now that we have found the answers to these crooked, election changing events, why is the Justice Department not prosecuting those responsible? Plenty of time left!”

Trump then turned his attention back to the 2020 election cycle, suggesting the people in power, “go after the people that are seeking Honesty and Truth, and have Freedom of Speech, and many other defenses, on their side!’ Trump said. “Justice Department should look at The Crime of the Century. Evidence is massive and irrefutable!!!”

The ex-president then brought up his phone call to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in which Trump requested that he find the exact amount of votes necessary to flip the state in his favor. This call is currently being investigated by the state.

‘The Georgia phone calls were PERFECT,” Trump wrote Wednesday. “Many people and lawyers, on both sides, were knowingly on the one call, I assumed the call was taped, there were Zero complaints or angry “how dare you” charges made during the call, and no “hang ups” by anyone aggrieved or insulted at what was said,” the ex-president wrote.

He added, “THEY WERE PERFECT CALLS. I was just doing my job as President, and seeking Fairness and the Truth.”

President Donald Trump has been gearing up for his 2024 reelection bid, last week admitting that the only thing he had left to decide was whether or not he would announce before or after the midterm elections. The ex-leader mused that he could neuter most of his biggest primary threats if he announces before the current election cycle is over.

While the news of the investigation is concerning, AG Garland has made it very clear he doesn’t plan to prosecute any big-name political figures. Do you think Trump is actually at risk or is it really just fake news?
