Chris Cuomo Blasts Democrats Over January 6th Committee

Former CNN host Chris Cuomo went on the attack against his own Democrat party over the political theater that is the January 6th Congressional Investigation.

In his new podcast “The Chris Cuomo Project,” the one-time cable news headliner blasted the members of the Select Committee, asking why the point of the whole thing was.

“I think around the planning and the practical aspects of what happened on January 6th, I don’t see that there’s criminality there, at least in what’s been offered,” Cuomo said.

The controversial television personality then compared the current investigation to the 2 impeachment hearings against the-President Donald Trump. While Cuomo clearly thought Trump was controversial, he admitted that nothing they showed him rose to criminality.

“Like the impeachment. Again, not that the issues that were involved in impeachment don’t matter, but you knew you were never gonna have the outcome.”

Cuomo then called out the Democrat leadership for always hiding behind the line that “it’s their job”, even when in reality they are tearing the country apart just to boost their own campaign funds and name ID.

“The argument was ‘Well, but this is what we have to do. This is our job.’ I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know that that kind of fermenting of tension, that kind of protracted process, when you know you weren’t gonna remove the president, was that really in America’s interest, certainly debatable, certainly debatable.”

The liberal celebrity then again dug into the Mueller investigation and Russian collusion allegations, despite him being one of the top personalities in the country pushing these narratives while he was still at CNN.

“The outcome was never going to be what was desired,” he said. “There’s no question, as with the Mueller probe, Trump and his cronies were doing bad things. Things they know they should not have been doing. And arguably that makes them lousy leaders.”

He expressed anger over the left’s focus on getting Trump for treason, which would mean proving he worked for the benefit of an enemy country.

“But getting Trump for treason, why even go there? They go there because it fuels the fringe aspects of the party. Collusion with Russian operatives. Yes. Collusion is behavior. It’s not a crime. The crime is conspiracy and it’s a distinction with a difference and they were nowhere near it. And it wasn’t ever gonna be prosecuted,” he concluded.

While Cuomo is no longer associated with CNN, his former network has recently urged its existing anchors to be more critical of the Democrat party and less biased against Republicans. Do you think Chris is only going in this direction to try and get his old job back?
