During her testimony before the J6 committee, Cassidy Hutchinson mentioned former White House attorney Pat Cipollone a lot. Now, a federal grand jury wants to hear from him.

Fox News reports:

Former White House counsel Pat Cipollone has received a subpoena from a federal grand jury, as the Justice Department looks into potential crimes related to the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot, Fox News has confirmed.

During his appearance [before the J6 committee], Cipollone was asked whether he agreed that there was “no evidence of election fraud sufficient to undermine the outcome of the election.”

“Yes, I agree with that,” Cipollone answered.

Hutchinson testified that Cipollone restated his concerns the morning of Jan. 6 that if Trump did go to the Capitol to try to intervene in the certificant of the election, “we’re going to get charged with every crime imaginable.”

The DOJ has the power to launch criminal investigations and that’s what this federal grand jury appears to be about. Will Cipollone claim executive privilege? Attorney-client privilege? Do you think he will say anything at all? What’s this mean for Donald Trump?
