LA Defies Dems “Defund the Police” Cries – Here’s what they did to Infuriate the Left

Crime in LA is the worst its ever been. Celebrities are being assaulted, the homeless are taking over the city and everyday Americans are the victims. Liberal policies are destroying the city but the citizens have finally had enough.

It seems that the LA has finally reached a breaking point in their crime and they’ve just voted to do something about it

According to Fox News. To address a rise in crime in Hollywood, Los Angeles City Council members approved funding for more police patrols on Wednesday.

As compared to last year, Hollywood has seen a 75% increase in homicides and a more than 35% increase in shots fired this year. The number of robberies and thefts has jumped by nearly 20% and 25%, respectively.

On Wednesday, the council approved a motion by Councilman Mitch O’Farrell to add additional officers to the LAPD’s Hollywood Division. The news follows Olympic medalist Kim Glass being brutally assaulted in Los Angeles, California after she had lunch with friends a month ago.

O’Farrell said in a statement, City News Service reported, “Today’s unanimous approval of enhanced safety measures in Hollywood will make a world of difference for residents, workers and visitors impacted by crime,”

The demand for public safety in Hollywood has outstripped available resources, according to O’Farrell’s motion.

It’s no surprise that LA needs to hire more officers. The Crime there has been insane and its due in large part to their ultra liberal District Attorney. He ran on criminal reform but instead it turned into leniency on crime – it’s gotten so bad that George Gascón is now facing recall

According to Politico. In November 2020, George Gascón was elected district attorney of Los Angeles County with 54 percent of the vote.

The leading progressive prosecutor in the country took over the movement’s top target, the largest county and one that has been resistant to change for decades.

After being sworn in, Gascón moved quickly. For misdemeanors and nonviolent felonies, he ended cash bail. In addition, he told his deputy district attorneys to stop seeking the death penalty, to never try juveniles as adults, and to stop imposing jail sentences based on so-called sentencing enhancements.

The first day he was in office, he accomplished all of that.

It’s good that the city council is finally doing something about the crime wave going on in their city but unfortunate that it had to come to this point. What did they think was going to happen with a liberal DA like Gascon? It’s not rocket science – when you go easy on crime, crime increases. Hopefully LA will learn its lesson with Gascon and keep these new policing measures in place to help eradicate crime.
