It seems like everyday wildfires are becoming more common. We hear of them more and more and there was another this week in Los Angeles. There was something different about this wildfire though and you might be surprised when you see what it is.
You’ve probably never seen one before but a fire tornado was just caught on camera.
According to the Daily Caller. As a wildfire raged through Los Angeles County Wednesday, dramatic footage was captured of a “fire tornado.”
According to the Los Angeles Times, more than 200 firefighters were called out to the fast-moving, 4-acre Sam Fire in Gorman, California on Wednesday afternoon. KTLA reported that a large fire tornado, or “fire devil,” ripped through the hilly countryside around 5:00 p.m.
According to KTLA, fire tornadoes are caused by rising temperatures and high, choppy winds. In a similar manner to other tornadoes, the vortex sucked in all fuel gases and debris.
The fire tornado is the latest in a series of extreme weather events in the western United States. Over the weekend, Death Valley experienced a rare, massive flooding event that trapped more than 1,000 people inside.
While this Fire tornado was large some can be even bigger,
According to Newsweek. The diameter of a fire whirl can range from less than one foot to more than 500 feet. An intense fire whirl is comparable to a small tornado.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department’s air operations section tweeted a photo of the inferno.
At first, firefighters estimated the fire to be four acres, but it grew to 150 acres by evening, at which point it was contained.
We are lucky to have such amazing firefighters and first responders to keep us safe from disasters like this. That fire tornado looks dangerous and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near it. Hopefully we make it through the rest of the summer without anymore fires like this.

Many of these fires are set by illegal aliens moving through the forests to sanctuary cities and states. They camp for the nigh but they don't extinguish their cooking fires. Wind comes up and blows the embers around starting forest fires. As long as it's happening in blue sanctuary states and cites, I really don't care.
