A shocking new video has surfaced of Val Demings’ security allegedly pushing a man on the ground.

Now we’re learning according to the Daily Wire that Officials in Florida are investigating whether security for Rep. Val Demings (D-FL), who is running against Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), shoved a man to the ground at a political event.

Florida Politics obtained a video clip showing two men pushing another man during a meet-and-greet earlier this month that prompted the investigation by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office. During the event, security blocked the man from entering the Harry T & Harriette V Moore Memorial Park.

So who was involved and how has the candidate responded? 

Florida Politics details. According to the dialogue in the video you just watched, the individual appears to be a video tracker who regularly follows the campaign. Two security guards shout, “Don’t do it,” before pushing the man to the ground on the street. Then another security staffer says, “You can’t get up. Stay down.”

The guards shown appear to be employed by Ardent Protection, a company hired by Demings’ campaign. Several security personnel, including Constantino Georgudis, who pushed the man to the ground, and Wayne Bacon, who serves as Ardent’s vice president, appeared to be involved.

Demings officials defended the security team’s handling of the campaign tracker. Demings’ campaign communications director Christian Slater said the individual refused multiple requests to leave and charged at security personnel in pursuit of Demings’ approaching vehicle.

Demings’ campaign, however, was quickly criticized by Republicans. According to Julia Friedland, spokesperson for the Republican National Committee, it’s easy for Democrats to call defunding the police ‘very thoughtful’ and violent riots ‘a beautiful sight’ when they have their own security.
