Illegal Immigrants are overrunning these Democrat cities and their leaders are starting to get upset

The Post Millennial Reports, As Texas continues to send buses full of migrants to sanctuary cities such as New York and Washington, DC, those cities have become overwhelmed.

Texas and Arizona have both sent thousands of migrants to the two Democrat-run cities, according to Axios. As “sanctuaries” that restrict local law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration agencies, both cities have pledged to protect illegal immigrants from deportation.

Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser reaffirmed the city’s sanctuary status after the 2016 election, saying “We celebrate our diversity and respect all DC residents.”

Governor Greg Abbott announced on Friday that Texas has sent over 7,000 migrants to Washington since April, and at least 900 to New York since August 5. The migrants have been called a “burden” on New Yorkers by Eric Adams.

After previously being denied help from the National Guard, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser said the city has reached a “tipping point” in its efforts to aid migrants.

As part of her request to the Biden administration, the progressive mayor also revealed that migrants should be treated equally to war refugees.

Additionally, Mayor Eric Adams requested aid from the federal government, asking for “money, technical assistance, and more.” He also alleged that Abbott “used innocent people as political pawns.”

More than 800,000 aliens were permitted to vote in local elections under Adams’ noncitizen voting bill in January.
Although officials in liberal cities call the bussing unethical, Valeria Wheeler, executive director of Mission: Border Hope, a non-profit organization that serves Eagle Pass’ border community, says “They want to take the buses.” “No one is being pressured.”

To try and combat the influx of illegal immigrants in New York, the city is planning to house them in luxury hotels.

Fox News reports that Mayor Eric Adams is trying to secure nearly 6,000 hotel rooms for border crossers. Adams has criticized Abbott’s actions, calling them “horrific”.

The easiest solution, according to one New Yorker, would be to strengthen and protect America’s borders. People in other states, particularly Texas, “laugh at New York” while the city’s leaders “give away everything the taxpayers built,” he said.

He sympathizes with residents struggling to pay rent and must now see their tax dollars go toward providing housing for illegal immigrants. Chris, an Illinois tourist staying at the Row, told Fox News he sympathizes with residents.

The median rental price in Manhattan in July was $4,150, almost $1,000 higher than last July, according to a Douglas Elliman report. In June, more than 50,000 homeless people slept in shelters in New York City, according to the nonprofit Coalition for the Homeless.

It seems like New York has finally reached a tipping point. It’s unfortunate that Greg Abbott had to send illegal immigrants to New York to get his point across about the border crisis, but now maybe Democrats will step up and help secure the border.
